Little did we know that morning God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly and in death we do the same, it broke our hearts to lose you, you didn't go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
William was born on August 3, 1930 in Washington, D.C. to Yvette M. Myrick and William Edgar Sutton, Sr. He was the only child.
William went to Dunbar High School in Washington, D.C. He only went to 12th grade. Then he went to work at the Smithsonian Institute and from there he went to work at St. Elisabeth Hospital. He worked in the warehouse doing inventory of household supplies.
In 2003, William joined Deliverance Free Will Baptist church under the pastorate of William Peterson, until 2013.
