

ALEX’S #1 HOBBY WAS PLAYING BINGO. He also enjoyed to camping, fishing, playing baseball, bowling and golf. Alex was a true fan of the San Francisco 49ers and he never missed a game. Although Alex had many hobbies, he loved spending most of his time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Alex was very proud of his family and considered his family to be his greatest accomplishment.
Alex is survived by his son, Richard Isaac Hernandez; daughters, Teresa and Angela Mae Hernandez; brothers, Robert “Bobbie” Hernandez, Andrew “Andy” Hernandez, Anthony “Tony” Hernandez, and Marcus Peter Hernandez; sisters, Jenny Saiz, Delores Maria Olguin and Veronica Lopez; numerous grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe and Consuelo (Vasquez) Hernandez; his brother, Joe A. Hernandez; sister, Rosie Hernandez; son, Alexander Hernandez Jr.; and his grandson, Isaiah Isaac Hernandez.
A Visitation will be held today, Thursday May 22, 2014 from 3-7:00 p.m. at Merritt Funeral Home in Wapato. The Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 6:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Wapato. Merritt Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
