Consuelo Elisa Falcon

Consuelo Elisa Pruneda Falcon, 87, of Wapato passed away on Saturday February 19, 2011 with her family and loved ones by her side. Ms. Falcon was born in Nuevo Leon, Mexico then moved to Raymondville, Texas in 1951. A homemaker and mother to one son, she shared her heart and love with many. Ms. Falcon was known for her humor, laughter, goodwill, unconditional love and devotion to her family and friends. She was a woman who left an unforgettably lasting impression that will always carry with them for the rest of their lives. She loved so many and was loved by everyone. Her undying spirit continues to live within her family and friends that she was so loved by.

Ms. Falcon loved to cook and made sure you were always comfortable in her home. She loved her small home and her doors were never closed to anyone. Ms. Falcon, or as many knew her, “Chelo” was a strong woman of principle whose words of wisdom will carry on from generation to generation. She will be missed but always remain in our hearts.

Survivors include one son, Ricardo P. Salinas (Dottie) of Wapato, WA; six grandchildren, Ricardo Salinas, Jr. of Wapato, WA, Ruben J. Salinas (Alicia) of Yakima, WA, Rolando Salinas (Michelle) of Seattle, WA, Rene C. Salinas of Seattle, WA, Ileanna E. Salinas of Yakima, WA, and Luis J. Salinas of Wapato, WA; four sisters, Angelina Pruneda Martinez of Othello, WA, Eva Gonzalez of Wapato, WA, Yolanda DeLeon of Monterey, Mexico, and Lydia Martinez of Riverbank, CA; two brothers, Demetrio Pruneda and Reginaldo Pruneda both of Dinuba, CA; nine great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

Viewing will be from 4 - 7 p.m., Thursday February 24, 2011 at Merritt Funeral Home in Wapato, WA, with a Rosary to be held 6 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday February 25th at Saint Peter Claver Catholic Church in Wapato, followed by the burial at Terrace Heights Memorial Park in Yakima, WA.
