

Floyd Albert Plumlee Sr. – Saddled up to gather heavens cattle on May 10, 2015 in Toppenish, WA. Floyd was born on June 2, 1929 in White Swan, WA to Leona (Ohms) Plumlee and Floyd L “Jack” Plumlee. He married Violet Livermore and they had five children: Valerie Plumlee Hill, Donna Plumlee Wood, Floyd Plumlee Jr., Jackie Plumlee Laws and Deanna Plumlee. Floyd also had a stepson Joseph Hoptowit with Nora Plumlee. Floyd was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Floyd was a proud member of the Yakama Nation, he was a cowboy through and through, and he loved to hunt and fish. He loved taking his grandkids to the mountains camping and fishing. White Swan will never be the same without “The Mayor”. Floyd is also survived by two sisters: Althea Plumlee and Sharon Rakevich. Floyd had many, many friends and never knew a stranger. There will be a memorial service held for Floyd on June 3, 2015 at the White Swan Community Center at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be sent to the Toppenish Nursing and Rehab Center Activities Center. A special Thank you to all those who cared for Floyd at the Toppenish Nursing and Rehab Center.
