

Greg A. Henry passed away at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, December 6,2011. Greg was born on December 23, 1963 in Yakima, Washington to Jeannie Goulet and George Henry.
Greg lived his entire life in the Yakima Valley. He graduated from Wapato High School and attended the RN Program at YVC. He received his degree in nursing. Greg worked for Yakima Valley School and Good Samaritan Nursing Home as an RN until he was no longer able to work. Graduating from nursing school was one of his biggest accomplishments. He loved his job. He loved working with the elderly and the disabled. Greg was a gentle giant, with a big heart and loving soul. His smile would light up the room. He was a generous man and would give you everything he had. Greg worked in several occupations before becoming a nurse. He was a volunteer fireman for several years for the Parker Fire Department. Greg loved to go to yard sales with his step dad Al who he loved so much, and second hand stores with his mom. He loved playing in poker and dart tournaments and putting together computers. He loved to watch football, his favorite team was the Seattle Seattle Seahawks.
Greg had three stepchildren that he adored and treated as his own. He would have done anything for them. He loved his Mom, Brother, Dad, and his dog Dannie and his entire family more then life itself His love reached beyond his immediate family, to all family members, friends and acquaintances.
Greg is survived by his mom and step dad Jeannie and Al Goulet, his dad and step mom George and Carol Henry. His brother Steve Henry (Kathy), his nieces Jessica Henry, Kassie Leach and nephew Gavin Leach. His stepsons, Tyson, Weston and Noel Wyatt. He is also survived by his Aunt Susie Bums-Laurent (Jim), Aunt Evelyn Lewis, Aunt Joyce Gull (Casper), Aunt Louise Henry, Uncle Johnny Jacobson and their families. In addition he is survived by his cousins Cathy Wood (Bob), Tony Leach (Jennifer), Vicky Leach (Tim) and Bryan Burns (Tracie) and their families. His stepbrothers and sister Alan, Ken and Lisa Goulet. His loving and devoted companion and caretaker Annie Wesphal and son Wyatt, his best friends, Raymond Jackson, Mark Allen, and his loyal dog Dannie and many other special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry and Saba Bums, Rachael and Arthur Henry, his aunts Cherrie Leach and Linda Jacobson, uncles Junior Burns, Ray Leach and Bill Henry and cousins Mark Burns and good friend Elpedio Gomez.
We would like to thank Doctors Paul Snyder, Paul Emmans ill and Amy Zeigler for their wonderful care and friendship and Kathleen and Marco Cane for all their help during Greg's illness.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Merritt Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Reservation Community Memorial Park.
