

Our beautiful mother, daughter, niece, and best friend peacefully passed on May 9, 2014at her home in Wapato. Julene Trena George (Dooley) Eneet-Tat-A£aʹ was born July 15, 1958 at Toppenish Hospital to Andy George Jr. and Isabelle Phillips and was the 3rd child of 7th children. Julene was part of the 1st graduating class of the Yakama Nation Tribal School. She also attended Haskell College and Yakima Valley Community College.
Dooley is survived by her father, Andy (Mariel) George Jr; her step-father Gene Yallup; her daughters, Amber Nicole Marquez and Starla Tia Monique Marquez both of Wapato; granddaughter, Elenianna Davina Venegas; brothers, Shawn (LaRena) Van Pelt, Lenny (Isha) Van Pelt, and Austin Phillips; sisters, Jaime Ross, La Dawn Yallup, and Sonia George-Heemsah; uncles, Elliott Phillips, Richard Mokey George, and Gerald George; and aunts, Lorraine Irene Phillips-Hunt, Augustine Howard, Joann P. Walker, Angeline Phillips, and Gwen Leonard.
Dooley was preceded in death by her mother, Isabelle Phillips-Yallup; her only son, Raymond Marquez; her sisters, Carmen George and Andrea George; grandmother, Nancy Napyer; grandfather, Andy George Sr.; uncles, Otis Phillips, Orville Phillips, and Austin Phillips; and her aunt, Carol J. George.
A Dressing Service was held yesterday, May 12, 2014 at the Toppenish Creek Longhouse followed by the Overnight Service. Burial will be held at 7a.m., today, Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the Methodist Cemetery in White Swan. Merritt Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements
