Marvin Lee Mcdonald

Marvin was born August 19, 1933 in Amity, OR to Walter C. and Alice B. McDonald. He served in the U.S. Air Force with the 306th Bombardment Wing. Marvin married Dorothy Reitzer in Las Vegas, NV on August 16, 1963. They came to Wapato in 1967.

Marvin enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was an avid outdoors man, and loved hunting, fishing & wood working. Marvin was a very hard worker, and worked as a supervisor at Mt. Adam’s Furniture in Wapato for 30 years.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Dorothy E. McDonald; sons, Corbett J. McDonald, Marvin Ray McDonald (Cheryl), Chuck Saiz (Felisha), and Dominik Kunigk (Michelle); daughters, Christi Rocha (Robert), Lisa Sanchez (Jesse), Cheryl Craig (Gabriel), Gail Avenell (Joshua), Chana Saiz (Gus) and Chandra Saiz; brothers, Richard McDonald of Las Vegas, NV and Walter McDonald of Vancouver, WA; sisters, Joreen Goode of Salem, OR, Cheryl Downer of Washougal, WA, and Susan Johnson of Salem, OR; 22 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Crosby McDonald and mother, Alice Beatrice (Springer) McDonald.

A Vigil Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Merritt Funeral Home in Wapato, WA. The Memorial Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 2011 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Wapato. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Memorial Hospice.
