

Murl Edward “Eddie” Curtis, 58, of Toppenish passed away November 1, 2012 in Yakima. Eddie was born in Paris, Illinois on November 13, 1953 to Littleberry and Retha Curtis. Eddie enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, mushroom picking, hiking and hunting. He loved Mother Nature so much that he spent his time recycling. He had many friends who loved him dearly. His favorite hobby was spending time with his family. Eddie will be missed by so many people. See ya in Heaven Dad! We love you.
Eddie is survived by his wife Marian Curtis of Toppenish; his daughters Christina Curtis of Selah, Angela Harless of Port Angeles, Melissa Perez of Forks, Misty Rice of Tacoma, Corina Curtis of Yakima, Tanya (Nick) Dias of Alaska, Shannon (Joe) Castro of California; sons James Curtis, Bobby (Brandi) Curtis both of Yakima, Julio (Tasha) Ramirez of Spokane, Walter McIlwain of Wapato, Jason McIlwain of Soap Lake, and Jerry McIlwain of Toppenish; sisters Nancy (Dennis) Carlson, Bonnie (Charlie) Groo all of Yakima, and Goldie Bush of Forks; 33 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Eddie was preceded in death by both his parents; sisters Mary Ritner, Jewell Martinez; and brothers Keith Curtis, Walter “Sonny” Curtis, and Timothy Curtis.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at the Harrah Assembly of God Church located at 3681 Harrah Road in Harrah, Washington.
Merritt Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
