Theresa Rose Boyle

Theresa Rose Boyle, 86, of Harrah, passed away February 3, 2015, at home with family. Theresa was born in Sunnyside, to William (Bill) & Mary Shields on August 30, 1928. Theresa graduated from White Swan High School in 1945. Theresa married Willard Boyle November 2, 1948. They were married for 66 years.

Theresa was an avid White Swan sports enthusiast, joining Willard often on the team bus trips. Theresa loved to camp & pick huckleberries, always bringing her rake to keep camp tidy. Theresa, also known as “Motorcycle Mama”, traveled many miles with Willard on the back of their Goldwing Honda motorcycle. Theresa loved watching her grand kids play & grow, as well as attending their many school & extracurricular activities.

Theresa is survived by her loving husband Willard Boyle, her 3 children, son Kenny (Debbie), son Carl & daughter Sandy (Richard) Welch, her 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren, 1 sister Katie (Wayne) Oswalt, 2 brothers Jim (Mary) Shields & Chuck (Delores) Shields & numerous nieces, nephews.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents William (Bill) & Mary Shields, brother John Shields, sister Mary Shields.

A Rosary Service is scheduled for 6:00 pm Friday, February 6th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in White Swan. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, February 7th at West Hills Cemetery, Yakima. A potluck reception will be held following the graveside service.
