Gloria Faye Merideth

Gloria Faye Merideth, 85, was born February 10, 1933 in Borger, TX. Gloria went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at the age of 85. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a strong Christian with a servant’s heart especially for children. She was a longtime member at Olivet Baptist Church where she taught 1st grade Sunday school for 50 years and served on numerous committees. Family was her number one love and priority here on earth. She always enjoyed visiting and traveling with friends. Gloria retired as a principal’s secretary from the Oklahoma City Schools. She also worked as an executive secretary for the Oklahoma County School Superintendent and SOHIO Oil. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Harold, and her parents. She is survived by her brother Jimmy Young and wife Shirley, and brother in-law Jimmy White; children Jeanine Gully and husband Jay, Duane Merideth and wife Melanie, Joe Merideth and wife Toni; grandchildren, Kelly Mills and husband Gary, Chris Cheek and wife Jennifer, Jake Gully, Mackenzie Merideth and Madison Merideth; great-grandchildren Audrey Mills and Kate Mills. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews.

What a beautiful and sweet lady. I knew her when she was young and only a few times as we grew older - but she never changed. God bless you all at this time.
