A long-time parishioner of St. Malachy Catholic Church, in Sterling Heights, Anita had very strong faith. At the church she was involved in the women’s club, the prayer groups, and would often help put on the wedding rehearsals. She always stayed active and especially loved doing so by joining bowling leagues. When she married her husband David, she was working for General Motors but as they grew their family together, she left to work part time and focus on her children. While raising her children she worked for Hudson’s as a saleswoman, making extra money to provide her children with anything they could want. She also worked as a reservationist for Sommer Dorf, booking cabins on the beautiful Lake Ogemaw, in the spring and summer with her husband. She loved going up North, traveling, and sightseeing with her family. Her world revolved around her family, and she cherished every moment she spent with them. She will be remembered for her strong faith and kind, loving nature.
Anita is the beloved wife of over 45 years to the late David Wardowski. She is the loving mother of Lori (Doug) Fournier and David (the late Sue) Wardowski. Treasured grandmother of Renee Ostrand, Douglas Fournier, and Emily Fournier. Dear sister of the late Dolores Vandercruyssen, Geraldine Mackey, and Kenneth Paige. Aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 2, from 2:00PM until 8:00PM with a Rosary service at 7:00PM, at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, on Masonic, in Warren.
