Annetta Irene Jenkins

Annetta Irene Jenkins, age 97, of Warren, Michigan, passed away on November 16, 2021. Annetta was born in Uniontown, Kentucky, on June 24, 1924, to her loving parents Samuel and Mary Fenwick.

Crocheting was one of her main hobbies and she loved to make her family blankets, afghans, hats, etc., that they all still cherish. She always loved to read and write and in 2011, she fulfilled a dream of hers and became a published author at the age of 87, after writing her romance novel. Her family looked forward to spending time with her, especially over a game of Scrabble.

Annetta is the beloved wife of the late William Jenkins, of 61 years. She is the cherished mother of Michael (Missy) Jenkins, the late Robert (Cheryl) Jenkins, the late Teresa Jenkins, David Jenkins, Martin (Linda) Jenkins, Susan Switzer, Noel (Julie) Jenkins, and Christopher (Kathryn) Jenkins. She is the treasured grandmother of 17, great grandmother and great-great grandmother of many. She is the aunt of many nieces and nephews. Annetta was preceded in death by her four siblings, parents and daughter in law Karen Switzer-Jenkins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 19, at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, at Masonic, in Warren, from 2:00PM until the Rosary Service at 7:00PM. The following day there will be an Instate period held in the funeral home chapel from 9:30AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 10:00AM.
