Anthony Gerard Leone, age 59, of Warren, Michigan, died on May 15, 2021. He was born on September 23, 1961, in Detroit, Michigan, to his loving parents, the late Anthony Leone and the late Grace Leone (nee Vermiglio).
Anthony is the beloved husband of Kendall Leone (nee Hutton). The treasured father of Anthony (Stephanie) Leone Jr., Lauren Leone, Vincent Leone, and Dominick Leone. Cherished grandfather of Raiden Leone, Eliza Leone, Donovan, Lucas, and Vivian. The caring brother of Nancy (Mike) Moceri, JoMarie (Paul) Ruggeri, and Chris (the late Cheryl) Leone. Uncle to several nieces and nephews; adored in-law to all of his wife’s family.
Anthony married the love of his life, Kendall, on June 29, 1985. This year would have marked 36 years of love together. Sports were always a part of Anthony’s life. When he was younger, he played softball, and as he got older; he focused more on golfing, bowling, and fishing. Friends always looked forward to having him at the bowling alley and his sons and grandkids always looked forward to having him reeling in fish next to them. Every Wednesday he would go out on the boat with his close friends. An outdoorsman at heart, Anthony cherished any time spent outside of the house. When he was able to get out of the city, he spent time at his sister-in-law’s cabin. He would spend days preparing and chopping wood for the fires. He would walk around with his metal detector, picking up anything interesting and keeping them in a jar. In the suburbs, he brought the outdoors to him by planting a sprawling vegetable garden. He grew all types of vegetables, especially tomatoes and cucumbers. As the gracious neighbor that he was, he would set up a table to share his harvest with anyone who would come by. His tight knit family meant the world to him. He flaunted his Italian heritage by cooking up meals for them. His brother could always count on him to be there at band practice, appreciating the music and supporting him. When he was caught inside, he spent time flexing his creativity. He would build and paint model cars. Anthony will be remembered as a dedicated family man, supportive friend, and friendly, talkative neighbor.
