Arthur J. Hoeflein

Arthur James Hoeflein, age 82 of Warren, died Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Autumn Woods Health Care Facility in Warren. Mr. Hoeflein was born June 05, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan the son of the late William Hoeflein and the late Martha (nee: DeRonne) Hoeflein. Arthur was raised on the Grosse Pointe-Detroit city line, graduating from Grosse Pointe High School. After High School he attended University of Detroit at night and worked for Chrysler Motors. Mr. Hoeflein worked for over 37 years at Chrysler before his retirement as an accountant in the comptrollers office. Art was a quiet considerate man, who many considered a kind gentleman. When he was not working he enjoyed playing cards, golfing, bowling, and horseshoes. He is survived by his wife Virginia (nee: Hansen). He is the dear brother in-law of Dorothy Hoeflein, and Richard (Elaine) Hansen. Mr. Hoeflein was predeceased by his siblings, Bill (Genevieve) Hoeflein, Ed (Ethel & Dorothy) Hoeflein, Bob Hoeflein, and Mary Louise (Rollie) Evans. Arthur is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mr. Hoeflein will be Wednesday from 2:30-9 pm, with a Scripture Service at 7 pm, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile). Mr. Hoeflein will lie in state Thursday 9:30 am at St. Teresa of Avilla Catholic Community, St. Dorothy Campus, until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Celebrating the Funeral Liturgy will be Rev. Fr. Thomas Puzio. Memorial donations appreciated to the Capuchin Fathers 1820 Mt.
