Arthur Joseph Kudla

Arthur Joseph Kudla, a longtime resident of Warren, Michigan, passed away at home surrounded by the love of his family on July 10, 2026 at the age of 87. Art was born in Detroit on March 2, 1939 to his parents Apolenard and Anna.

Art’s greatest joy was caring for his family and spending time with them whether it be playing games, going on vacations Up North, sharing his favorite doughnuts, or telling jokes to his grandchildren (even if he couldn’t remember the punch line). Art worked hard at all that he did, striving for perfection. He willingly helped whoever he could and happily listened to others with a true interest in what they had to say.

Art is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Estelle. He was the proud father of sons Art (Kim) and Bob (Leann); loving grandfather of Trevor, Evan and Lauren; brother David (Valerie); brother and sister-in-law Ron and Jan Smolinski; sister-in-law Pauline Smolinski and many nieces and nephews.

Art was preceded in death by his parents; sister Virginia Dlugosz (Matt); and brother-in-law Ray Smolinski.

Art was a one-of-a-kind husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him but we trust that we will once again be reunited.
