I never met Mr. Prue so all i can go by is the apple and tree philosophy. I only know his son Art Jr. and he has always been a respectful responsible friendly and fun loving young man in my opinion so one can only assume where he developed those characteristics given the correlation berween trees and apples. He was presumably an extremely pleasant likeable and morally upstanding man and I offer my sincerest condolences to the family but also rejoice that he is now with his Father in bliss and you have all had the great pleasure and honor of enjoying 9 plus decades of love fellowship and guidance from this man. Im certain he will be greatly missed but more importantly his legacy lives on in those who knew and loved and learned from him.  May you all have peace and comfort in that knowledge.

I am afraid if I call him perfect someone might tell me a story to prove me wrong so let me just say this… I know no man that was as close to perfection as my uncle Art except maybe his father, my grandpa. He always treated me like I was the most important person in the world. I think he treated most of us like that. Even though he lived a long and rich life he died way too soon. I saw a spark in his eye when I visited last and thought there was hope he might recover. He will always be alive in my memory. I will always love him.

I remember when he would bring steaks for dinner and they were the best in the world.

Sending my sympathy to your family. I have fond memories of childhood on Kelley and knowing your family. Your father lived a long, good life and we are grateful for God blessing him that way.  May we always be thankful to have had parents that led by good example, making us the people we are today. God bless all of you.

Art had a great knack for seeming much younger. In our chats at Art and Leora’s he told me many stories and loved to laugh. We’re going to miss him although we’ll have the great memories. Gil


Having grown up on Kelly Street just 3 houses away from the Prues, I would frequently see Mr. Prue since I was friends with his daughter Theresa. Mr. Prue would be out on the porch, or doing things out in the yard, he was always kind, with a smile, and a hello! Very soft spoken and a wonderful person. He will be missed♡ My Condolences go out to the Prue family.
