Avery G. Campbell

Avery Gene Campbell, age 69 a longtime resident of Warren, died Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Avery was born July 12, 1941 in Kentucky the son of the late James C. Campbell and the late Ada (nee: Salyers) Campbell. Mr. Campbell was raised in Kentucky and Michigan and later worked and retired from Chrysler Motors after more than 33 years as a machine repairman. When Avery was not working he cherished his time with his family and long walks in the park with his wife and dog Ginger. He had a passion for fishing and cherished his fishing trips with his buddies every year. Avery was also a talented mechanic who enjoyed tinkering on old cars and as years past his vintage Harley Davidson motorcycle. He took great pride in his garden growing tomatoes, beans, and peppers. Mr. Campbell was the loving husband of Dorit Dee, and dear father of Gary (Debbie) Campbell, Missy (Russ) Eggli, David (Janet) Chaundy, and Greg (Patty) Chaundy. Beloved brother of Lou (Ken) Kaster, Clarence (Janice) Campbell,Amanda and (Micky) Roberts, Brenda and (Gary) Morgan,Danny and (Patty) Campbell, Woody and (Tina) Campbell, Angie and (Edmond) Morgan, Ann and (Robert) Baker, Bernice and (Hetch) Bagle and the late Robert Campbell. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Jesse, Chris, Nick, Anna, Jordan, Aaron, Nick, Brian, Miranda, Greg, and one great-grandchild Mckenzie. Visitation for Mr. Campbell will be Friday from 2-4 & 6-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile). A Eulogy Service for Mr. Campbell will be held Saturday at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Christian Memorial Cemetery. Please share memories at of Avery at his guest book.
