Benedict John Temerowski, age 70 a longtime resident of Chesterfield and formerly of Detroit died suddenly July 4, 2012 at his home. Ben was born December 13, 1941 the son of the late John and Amilia Temerowski. He was raised in Detroit and graduated from Salesian Catholic High School. Following his schooling Ben served his country during the Vietnam War having attained the rank of Corporal while also working as a medical X-Ray technician. He returned to Michigan and went to work at Herman Kiefer Hospital working in the X-Ray department and also with their mobile X-Ray unit. Later he went to work for Ring Pattern and Manufacturing which later became Ring Technologies. Ben worked as a fixture maker and was known as a man who could fix or solve any shop problem. He retired after more than 30 years of service. Ben's real passion in life was working and tinkering with guns. He was quite a gifted gunsmith who some considered an aficionado to repairing the non-repairable. Ben was a simple man who enjoyed in retirement his weekly breakfast with his best buddy or son Brian. He enjoyed tinkering with most things that had a motor such as his Harley Davidson, or his tractors. However he was just a family man and homebody who enjoyed life, his family, and country. Ben was the cherished husband of Mary Ellen, and dear father of Michael (Dawn) Temerowski, Sharon Temerowski, Brian (Shawn) Temerowski, Janice Temerowski (Markus Irwin), and Lynn Temerowski. Loving Papa of Aleea, Ryan, and Collin. Brother of David (Merry June) Temerowski, and Rosemarie (George) Amsden. Visitation for Mr. Temerowski will be held Friday, July 6, 2012 from 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile). Evening Scripture Services will be held at 7:00pm. Please send condolences at www.Temrowski.com.
