Bernard Arthur Jarvis, Jr. age 60, a lifetime resident of Mount Clemens and Harrison Township died suddenly October 16, 2014 at McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mount Clemens Michigan. Bernard was born May 12, 1954 in Mount Clemens the son of Bernard and Delores (nee: Austin) Jarvis.Bernard was raised in Mount Clemens and attended St. Louis Catholic School. Following his schooling he worked in various employment positions primarily in the construction trades. Bernard was truly a "Jack of all Trades" being able to fix or repair just about any item or motor. He was constantly tinkering, waxing or fixing his boat or four wheeler.Bernard worked for Vesper Construction for many years and for the last two years worked for Greene's Maintenance Services. When he was not working he could always be found outdoors... whether he was fishing, hunting, or cutting his lawn on board his riding mower, he just loved being outside. He also enjoyed his time up north at the family compound in Onaway or his land in Roscommon riding the dirt bikes and four wheelers.Bernard also had a heart of gold and would help out all the neighbors with projects or snow removal or grass cutting. He cherished his time spent with his family and grandbabies, and any chance he got he would sneak away for a treat or late night snack. His daughter in-law said he loved her cheesecake but would convince everyone it was terrible therefore leaving more for him to enjoy. Bernard will be missed by all whom he touched.Bernard was the beloved husband of over 40 years to Sharon (nee: Hertel), and dear father of Bernard Jarvis III, Carrie (Mark) Gresser, Wayne (Heather) Jarvis, Eric (Lauren) Jarvis, and Michelle (Daniel) Wanston.
