Betty was raised in East Detroit and proudly graduated from East Detroit High School in 1956. She was a devoted mother who dedicated her early years to raising her family. Once her children were all in school full-time, Betty returned to the workforce, beginning a career with NBD Bank. She worked there for many years and eventually retired from a job she truly loved. Throughout her time at the bank, Betty made countless friends among both her coworkers and customers. She was known for her warm personality and the smile she always seemed to have on her face.
Betty was a woman who enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved working on jigsaw puzzles and spending time playing POGO online. She especially cherished her grandchildren and took great pride in watching her family grow.
She also had a love for travel and enjoyed visiting destinations throughout the United States, as well as making a memorable trip to Italy. Betty believed in staying active in her community and giving her time to organizations that were important to her. She served as Corresponding Secretary for the DPOWA from 1975 to 1976. She was also the Corresponding Secretary for Boy Scouts of America Pack 151 and served as a Pack Leader, touching the lives of many children and families through her involvement.
Above all, Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be remembered for her kindness, her beautiful smile, her love of family, and the many lives she touched throughout her years.
Betty was the loving mother of Terry (Diane Mitchell) Antrikin, Tracy Antrikin, Todd (Deborah) Antrikin, and Trisa Antrikin. Dear grandmother of Billy, Jennifer, Jesse, August (Noah Greco), and Nicole Antrikin. Devoted great-grandmother of Abigail and Archer. Sister of Ron (Carol) Rose and the late Richard Rose. She was also the best dog-mom to her beloved Gunner.
