Betty Sue was born in Arkansas on September 17th 1940 to the late Christopher “Clyde” Byrd and the late Mary Cammie Levon Byrd. Betty grew up in the north eastern part of Arkansas until her family relocated to Detroit Michigan in the early 1950s. Early in life Betty raised, trained, and competed with her beloved Great Danes. She was also a talented award-winning cake designer and restaurateur. Winning many competitions with her original and unique cake designs that would take on any theme requested. While Betty specialized in creating cakes for all occasions, one of which included her own wedding cake when she married Edwin O Cutter in November of 1987. Betty enjoyed camping in their motorhome with her husband Ed, children and grandchildren while frequenting their favorite destination Waldon Woods in Hartland MI, where Betty and Ed are longtime members. Betty enjoyed camping, bingo, playing cards/games, music, traveling, cooking/baking, handcraft projects and most of all spending her time with Family and Friends. Betty is preceded in death by her daughter Nadine Nicolai-Kenyon (Michael A Kenyon ~Deceased) and is survived by husband Edwin O Cutter, Son Jason C Hartless (Shelly L). Grandchildren Jason M Hartless, Cassidy S Hartless, Amy (Jason) Saffer, Louie (Tina) Kenyon, Daniel Kenyon, Samantha Kenyon, Jamie Kenyon and Nick Greenmiller. Sister of Harry (Kathleen) Byrd, the late Shelby (Louis) Pomaville, Nathan (Joy) Byrd, and Boyce (Shirley) Byrd. Betty Sue also is survived by 14 great grandchildren, 3 step children and 5 step grandchildren.
Visitation Thursday from 2pm until 8pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home in Warren. Visitation Friday 11am until time of Funeral Service at 12pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home in Warren, 32000 Schoenherr Road. Burial to take place at Christian Memorial Cemetery in Rochester Hills.
