To help support the family she worked in various industries including factories for the automotive industry, became a cosmetologist and franchised into Home Interiors where she won various awards.
Betty was artistic and industrious with her hands also. She loved ceramics, crocheting and sewing. She donated her time and crafts by working in the church food pantry and making such things as baby quilts and lap blankets to donate to children’s homes, nursing homes, and missionaries.
