Beverly J. Dickens of Sterling Heights passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026. She married the love of her life, Charles James Dickens, on October 26, 1957, and together they built a loving family and shared many wonderful years of marriage.
Nothing brought Beverly greater joy than being a grandmother. She treasured every opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren, and they were the pride of her life. She loved the outdoors and made countless memories camping with her family. After retirement, Beverly and Charles enjoyed traveling across the country and spending time in Florida.
Beverly had a remarkable talent for crocheting, creating beautiful blankets and handmade gifts for family and friends for years. She also loved a good challenge, especially the hardest Sudoku puzzles she could find, which she confidently completed in pen. She enjoyed bowling with her Ladies League, spending time with dear friends more so than being the best bowler on the league. Beverly was also an active member of TOPS, where she formed lasting friendships. Beverly will be remembered for her love of family, and kind heart. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
Beverly is survived by her devoted husband, Charles James Dickens; her children, Charles James Dickens (Kimberly), Sandra Jean Melki-Jackson (Scott), and David John Dickens (Kristin); and her cherished grandchildren, Tony Melki, Delaney Quinn (Patrick), Brady Dickens (Alexandra), Callie Dickens, and William Dickens.
Visitation Thursday, July 16th from 2pm until 8pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, in Warren. Beverly will lie instate at 9am until time of Funeral Mass at 9:30am at St. Blase Catholic Church, 12151 15 Mile Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48312. Beverly will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery.
