Bonnie G. Jeffries, age 53, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. Bonnie was born in Detroit on May 6, 1958, the daughter of the late James and Irene (nee: Johnson) Jeffries. Bonnie was employed as a nanny, a career path that was more of a passion than a job for this lady who adored children. Never having children of her own, she was endowed with a special gift of compassion that poured from her in the care she extended to all the precious little ones who graced her work and life. When she wasn't working, Bonnie loved to exercize her flair for interior design and decorating. She possessed a unique and creative sense of making things look magazine-worthy and pleasing to the eye. And this artistic urge of hers was never more prevalent and enjoyed than at the holidays. Her decorating prowess did much to add to the holiday warmth and ambience that all of her family and friends came to enjoy. Being the kindhearted soul that she was, Bonnie also had a soft spot in her heart for dogs. She loved her furry friends who were always cherished company. But of all her passions, none could match the love and care that she held for those close to her. Spending time with family and friends brought her immense joy and pleasure, especially when those times included her treasured nieces and nephews. She was an extraordinary aunt whose presence will be sorely missed. The legacy of love she leaves behind will remain as the warmth which will accompany each remembrance of the many lives she touched along life's way. She was the beloved daughter of Irene (nee: Johnson) and the late James Jeffries. Dear sister of James Jeffries Jr. and Sharon (Mike) Madley. Loving aunt of Jennifer, Cheryl, Michael Jr., Michelle, Kim, Tammy, and great aunt to 10 other nieces and nephews. Visitation for Bonnie will be held on Friday, June 24th from 3-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd) in Warren. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday at the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Jerry Weinzierl. Please share memories of Bonnie at her guest book.
