Carole was a proud grandmother to Jenna, Ryan, Jared, Summer, David, Robert, Kathryn, Cheyenne, and Colton, and a loving great-grandmother to Dominic, Aubrey, Theo, Rebecca, Emily, Madeline, and Ava. She treasured her family and leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved sisters, Roberta and Helen.
Carole's family was her greatest pride and joy. She was always ready with thoughtful advice, a listening ear, and the wisdom that came from a life well lived.
A woman of remarkable talent, dedication, and service, Carole was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she served as Eastern Star Past Worthy Matron and Eastern Star Page of the Masonic Grand Family. She also served as Past Queen of the Daughters of the Nile. Her commitment to these organizations reflected her generous spirit and her desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Carole also made a lasting contribution to her community through her work as Director of Indian Affairs for Macomb County. She was a co-author of the Title IV Program and shared her knowledge, skills, and cultural heritage by teaching Native American beadwork through the program. An exceptionally talented artist, Carole loved beadwork and jewelry making. Through her artistry and teaching, she passed along traditions and inspired others to appreciate the beauty and significance of handcrafted work.
Beyond her many accomplishments, Carole had a curious mind and a lifelong love of learning. A voracious reader, she often read three books a week. She was especially fascinated by history and ancient history, while also enjoying fiction.
Carole will be remembered as an incredible mother, a devoted wife, a loving grandmother and great-grandmother, a talented artist, and a woman whose wisdom and generosity enriched the lives of so many. She had a gift for offering just the right advice when it was needed most, and her presence brought comfort, strength, and love to her family.
