

Carole Louise Marshall-Norman of Warren died August 8, 2012 at St. John Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights Michigan. Carole was born June 9, 1937 in Lorain Ohio the daughter of Franklyn Charles Blaha and Yolanda Lydia (nee: Fulgenzi) Blaha. Carole was raised in Ohio and later moved to Michigan in 1967. In her younger years she was an avid bowler who later turned professional. In addition to bowling she also acted as the Secretary for the bowling league. Mrs. Marshall-Norman and her late husband John Marshall operated and owned Carole and Jack's Grocery and Party Store in Warren for many years while taking in five handicapped foster children and raising them. Carole was a very hard working woman however she had an affinity for the ponies and demanded her husband would take her to one of the local tracks every Saturday evening. After Carole's children were grown and at the age of 49, Carole went back to take her GED and achieved the fourth highest score in the country for reading and comprehension. Carole continued to work hard and study and later achieved her Licensed Practical Nursing Certificate and immediately went to work at Autumn Woods Nursing Center in Warren. She also worked for Nightingale Nursing Home and Abbey Nursing Home both in Warren until her health forced her retire in 1992. Carole is survived by her husband Richard Norman and was predeceased by John Marshall. She was the dear mother of Denise Nemeth, Donald Jr. (Kim) Nemeth, Jackie Marshall, Art (Valerie) Marshall, Cynthia Hojnacki, Kimberly Norman, and Richard Norman Jr. Carole is also the dearest grandmother of Clayton, Stephanie, John and also survived by nine additonal grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Carole was the dear sister of Franklyn C. Blaha Jr. Visitation for Carole will be Monday 9-11am at Christian Memorial Cultural Center Cemetery in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
