

Carole Suzanne Tigay, age 73 of Roseville, Saturday, November 10, 2007 at her home. Carole was born October 20, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late Walter Cox and the late Leonore (nee: Battenfeld) Cox. Carole was raised in Detroit and graduated from Cass Technical High School. After high school she worked for many years for the City of Detroit Water Board, before working as a bookkeeper. When she was not working she enjoyed trips up north with family, baking her famous chocolate chip cookies, sewing, knitting, needlepoint and cross stitch. Carole would knit hats for the homeless and make doll dress for the Good Fellows to hand out. She loved spending time with her family and playing the card game Phase Ten. Mrs. Tigay is survived by her loving daughter Julie Tigay-Singer (Christopher Singer). She is the loving sister of Lauri (John) Like, Jeff (Marilyn) Cox, and Larry (Flo) Cox. Carole is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Mrs. Tigay was predeceased by her husband Harvey Tigay. A Memorial visitation will be held Thursday from 3-7 pm. followed by a Memorial Service at 7 pm, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 mile). Officiating the Memorial Service will be Rev. Jerry Weinzierl. Please share memories of Carole at her guest book.
