Born with a compassionate heart and a steadfast spirit, Cesar devoted his life to caring for others. For 45 years, he served as an oncology research nurse at OMOH Osteopathic Oncology and Hematology, where his dedication, professionalism, and kindness touched the lives of countless patients, families, and colleagues. His career was more than a profession—it was a calling to serve those facing life's greatest challenges with dignity and hope.
Above all, Cesar was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, cherished brother, and faithful friend. He shared 55 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Priscilla, whose love and partnership were the foundation of their family.
He will be forever missed by his children, Dr. Victor (Faye) Abuel, Christine (Phillip) Pompa, and Melissa (Michael) Lindquist. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Nico, Edgar, Franklin, Leonie, and Simona, who brought him immeasurable joy.
Cesar is also survived by his sisters, Lily Ylen, widow of the late Henry Ambrosio and the late Lito Ylen, and Angie (Jun) Cristi. He was preceded in death by his brother, Oscar (Ting) Abuel.
A man of deep and abiding faith, Cesar was a devoted Catholic and an active member of St. Pio of Pietrelcina Catholic Church in Roseville. His faith guided his life and inspired his compassion, humility, and unwavering commitment to serving others. He found strength in prayer, joy in fellowship, and comfort in God's promises.
Those who knew Cesar will remember his gentle nature, generous heart, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to his family. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched, the family he loved so deeply, and the example of faith, service, and kindness he leaves behind.
Though he will be profoundly missed, his family finds comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, embraced by God's eternal love. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love him.
