Chris was a phenomenal father and friend to his two sons, with whom he shared his passion of sports. Teaching them to golf at a very young age, introducing them to ice-hockey and coaching them and their friends, Chris loved every minute, even the 5:00 wake-up calls to be on the ice for a 6 a.m. practice. Decades later, his face would light up when someone would still greet him, "Hey Coach". Going to a Red Wings game was truly a family event, along with watching the Tigers, Detroit Lions, and Michigan college football games. What he really loved most though over the past several years, was being on a golf league with his sons, nephew and many great guys. He literally would wake up smiling every Monday morning, his golf bag ready by the front door, and after work several hours later, be out the door wearing his golf cap and biggest smile. Once a year, there was an annual golf competition-Alex and CJ as a team and Chris and his brother Dave on another. "The Bros against The Bros". Good Times.
Chris loved his pets. He was the best cat daddy to Squeaky (21 yrs), best dog daddy to Roxy (13 yrs) Cora (12 yrs) and Amora, who he took to the dog park every day no matter the weather. She followed him like a shadow and misses him tremendously.
Passion for the open road made for many memorable trips to the east coast, west coast, places in between and camping all over our beautiful state of Michigan. Our last adventure (Aug. 2025) was taking a road trip to Midlothian, Texas to be extras on the set of "The Chosen" for season 6 which comes out in theaters soon. It was an experience of a lifetime. We joked about the two scenes we filmed in two days. To find us in the crowds would be like looking for ants in a field, but at the end of the season, our names will be in the end credits, and we will live on forever. We laughed about that on the drive home and how we will always have that treasured memory.
Chris was a kind and compassionate soul who always showed up for others. Ready to help in any way, whenever needed, he was a gift to everyone who knew him. Pure of heart, generous and good to the core. A life of faith, family and love, lived to the fullest. His memory will be a lasting blessing, carried forward with love, gratitude and a smile.
A Memorial Visitation for Chris will be held on Sunday, November 8th from 3-8pm with a 7pm Rosary at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road in Warren. Memorial In State will take place on Monday, November 9th from 9:30am until the time of his Memorial Mass at 10am at St. Anne Catholic Church, 32000 Mound Rd in Warren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks to remember Chris when someone is in need. To listen and to love with an open heart. If you want to make a donation in Chris' name, a gift in memory of him can be given to an animal rescue shelter, St. Judes Children Hospital, or the Come & See Foundation that is working on translating "The Chosen" in hundreds of different languages so people worldwide will see this amazing portrayal of Jesus, know of God and His love for us.
