Born in Royal Oak, Michigan and eventually joining his family in their move to Utica, it was in this little bedroom community that Christopher would receive the lion’s share of his education at Eppler Junior High School. Though circumstances at the time interrupted his official furtherance of school, finishing high school was of great importance to Christopher,…and so he did by ultimately achieving his Graduate Equivalence Diploma some time later. While in school, Christopher was immensely enthralled with sports. Not merely watching it play out, he was also an avid participant with his favorites being AYSO Soccer, Roller Hockey, and Track. Obviously, being a part of a team overrode the whole solo gratification thing for Christopher, but that was quite definitive of the competitor that everyone knew him to be. He knew the Thrill of Victory as well as the Agony of Defeat, and shared it with honor amongst his teammates and friends.
Learning early on in life that he was good with his hands, Christopher somehow gravitated towards the field of construction,…and found it to be quite rewarding. Again, not given to working by himself, Christopher discovered that laboring with his hands in a shared environment presented all kinds of positive influences and outputs. In this recent period of his work history, Christopher had happened across the joys of cooking outside of the home,…specifically as a cook for the folks at the Black Rock Grille. He loved interacting with the public, and this afforded him the ability to work hard, and to also see the fruits of his labors in the happy smiles that just finished an outstanding meal.
When he managed to find time away from work, Christopher loved feeding his appreciation for the outdoors by spending as much time as possible with family and friends outside of their homes amid the vast array of places that Michigan has to offer. From the joys of camping to a simple sit in the backyard on a beautiful day, Christopher would always exchange being cooped up for a bit of the splendor that Mother Nature was ready to dole out.
Speaking of doling out,…when it came to the looks department, Christopher had that in spades. And not that God hadn’t already done a magnificent job, Christopher helped things along by always being so well-groomed and mindful of his appearance,…something for which he took great pride. As he trod that suave & debonair path, Christopher had also become a bit of a collector,…especially when it came to hats, shoes, and jewelry. He could make a simple pair of jeans and a t-shirt look model ready. But look out,…when he stepped into those special shoes, slapped on some of that bling, then topped it off with a great hat, some heads were about to spin right off their necks as Christopher sauntered by. You betcha…he had it goin’ on!
Christopher will also be remembered for his appreciation of the arts, namely through his affinity with tattoos, of which he had several. Like the many who choose to be a walking gallery as opposed to the ones confined in a building, Christopher wore his art well and each work of art told a different story, reflective of the depths that made him shine. And speaking of shining, that’s exactly what Christopher brought to each life he touched. He had a smile that could light up a room, and a warmth that made all the difference. His smile would fill your soul, and that familiar warmth would envelope you like a cozy blanket. And nobody knew this more than his cherished Mom and sisters, and his treasured nieces and nephews. All the ones who knew him best, and all the ones who touched him the most.
Though he leaves us far too soon, it is certainly not without imparting the best and finest parts of himself into every heart and soul that shared his path in life. Whether you were a mere acquaintance or a longtime friend, the same Christopher was shared by all,…and he was most definitely a Prince among men. A loving son, brother and uncle, he will be missed beyond expression and loved beyond measure.
Beloved son of Stanley Bentley and Melody Kuznicki. Christopher was the loving brother of Jenna, Rebecca, Danielle, Amber, Jessica, Cheyenne, Julianna, and Joslynn. Also surviving are his nephews, Caleb, Caden, and Coltan; and his precious niece, Mia.
A Memorial Visitation for Chris will be held on Saturday, August 22nd from 3-6 pm, with a Memorial Service at 5:30 pm, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd) in Warren.
