Christopher James Vailliencourt, 63, of Grosse Pointe, Michigan passed away on April 5, 2026. He was born on June 10, 1962, in southeast Michigan. He was the youngest of five children born to the late Lloyd Vailliencourt and Betty “Jeanne” (Ayotte, Vailliencourt) Geiger.
Chris was a kind and loving person with a great sense of humor. He had a keen interest in American history and was very knowledgeable on the topic. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed sharing his vegetables with family and friends. He was also a huge sports fan, especially baseball. Watching the Detroit Tigers play was one of the many activities that he and the love of his life - Penny Hines - both enjoyed doing.
From the first time Chris met Penny, over 15 years ago, there was an instant spark between them and from that point on they were always together. You could count on them sharing in on all family events and holidays as these were the things that mattered most to them. They each knew from the very beginning that they had met the person they wanted to spend the rest of their lives with, and as a part of God’s plan, that is what they did.
Chris is survived by his brother, Lloyd Joseph (Kylynn) and his brother-in-law Robert Eagles, along with many nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family. He was
preceded in death by his sisters Cheryl Vailliencourt Girton, Laurel Vailliencourt Oman and Melissa Vailliencourt Eagles.
A Memorial will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, which will include open visitation from 2-5 pm and a service from 5-6 pm. It will take place at D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home located at 30009 Hoover Rd., Warren, MI 48093.
