Claire M. Martin

Claire Marie Martin, age 76 of Warren and Florida, died Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach Florida. Claire was born Marie Adriene Claire Desrochers, February 20, 1935 in Lancaster, Ontario Canada the daughter of the late Medard Desrochers and the late Regina (Decaire) Desrochers. She was raised in Cornwall Ontario and eventually came to the United States in the 1950s. Claire was a very intelligent woman who worked for almost ten years at General Motors in their accounting and payroll department, as an accountant. Later she chose to stay at home and raise her children. When Claire was not working she enjoyed gardening or browsing the local rummage sales, playing cards, reading and solving crossword puzzles. A fun night out was spent dancing and listening to the Irish music at the Gaelic League. When her husband traveled to Greece for work she too tagged along to explore the beautiful Island of Greece. In retirement she and her husband spent most of their time in Florida. Mrs. Martin was the beloved wife of Arthur,and the loving mother of Linda (Kevin) McGuire, Kenneth (Cindy), Ronald, and Philip (Beth) Martin. She is the devoted grandmother of Adrian, Robyn, Michael, David, Shawn, Kayla, Katelynn, James, and sister of Rita Desrochers, Peter Desrochers, Lucy, and the late George, and late Philip Desrochers. Also survived by many other loving family member and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday 5-9 pm and Friday 2-9 pm with and Rosary Service at 7:30pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile). Mrs. Martin will lie In State 9am until the time of her Funeral Mass at 9:30am at St. Maritn De Porres Catholic Church, Warren, Michigan. Please share memories of Mrs. Martin at her guest book.
