Clara Roguer (nee: Domaszewski), age 84 of Madison Heights, died Friday, August 6, 2010 at Father Murray's Nursing Home in Center Line, Michigan. She was born on August 12, 1925 in Detroit, the daughter of the late Felix and the late Frances (nee: Gorney) Domaszewski. Clara was most proud of the many years of dedicated service she rendered within the retail industry, specifically with Hudson's, then with Macy's following the stores merger, where she worked as a Merchandiser. In 1948, her life was enveloped by a wonderful change when she walked down the aisle to promise herself in marriage to the love of her life, Ulysses C. Roguer. She, now, joins her beloved with whom she shared 51 years of marriage until his passing in 1999. Clara was the epitome of class and style, and loved everything to do with jewelry. Not only an appreciator of that which others wore, she also had quite a collection of her own and adorned herself befitting of the fine lady that everybody knew. She was also a lady with a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed interacting with each and every life that crossed her path. Some of the pasttimes she enjoyed were embodied in the work of her hands through knitting, crocheting, and sewing. Another was found in the fun and pleasure she always had in tackling the challenges of jigsaw puzzles. With extreme patience and fortitude, she so enjoyed the many hours spent sifting through the pieces toward each puzzle's resolve, and the beautiful picture that followed. But perhaps her most favorite pasttime was that of traveling, and most often with her hubby by her side as they motored their way to either Hershey, Pennsylvania or St. Augustine, Florida...their two favorite getaways. Spending time on the road with her Ulysses was always a treat, and was nothing short of "stylin" as he made sure they did it in a brand new car every year. Being the ultimate GM guy that he was, he always provided the best for his Clara for their excursions down the road. Clara's life impacted many, and none-so-much as her friends and neighbors at the Solberg Towers in Madison Heights. Numerous hearts were broken by the news of her death, yet her legacy of love will live in on in all of the hearts she touched along life's way. Beloved wife of the late Ulysses, she is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass for Clara will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, August 13th at the St. John Deaf Center, 14057 E. 9 Mile Road in Warren. Arrangements were entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd) in Warren. Please share memories of Clara at her guest book.
