Our thoughts and prayers are with Ron Barker on the loss of his brother Cliff.

I will miss by brother very much. I was Cliffordâs only brother. I have very fond memories of him growing up. My brother and I were in the Boy Scouts. We had spent many summers together. My brother and I had attended the 1969 National Scout Jamboree. We were the only ones, in our district to attend. Clifford had obtained the rank of Eagle Scout. Very few people were awarded that back in 1968. In 1970 Clifford and I also were able to go to Phil Mont, New Mexico for mountain hiking. I will never forget that his hiking boots were coming apart. But that did not stop Cliff. He just tied some rope around the boots and just kept on going. Clifford and I had spent our summers sail boat racing, on Lake St. Clair. We were a good team together. We had won a lot of races. I will miss him very much. Ronald Barker

We have both known Cliff for a short time and wish that the friendship could have been for a longer time. Cliff was enjoyable to talk to whereas he would share many of his experiences and places that we had in common with him. He was a man of faith. May he rest in peace. Our sympathies are to his family.

I have known Mr. Barker for many years serving as his primary eye doctor. Through the efforts of our non-profit eye clinic, Clifford was able to receive some of the best eye care available. With our funding, Clifford was able to utilize the services of Kresge Eye Institute for retina surgery. Most recently, our non-profit, iChallenged, Inc. conducted a "Celebration of Success" which highlighted a number of our patients we have been able to serve. The production took place just days before Mr. Barker's passing. The production will be shown on YouTube by the end of April, 2014. Clifford was part of the production and his interview will be posted in the near future. Rest in Peace my friend!

You will be missed a lot and I will never forget you; thank you for always making me laugh and letting me be a part of your life. You were kind and thoughtful, and always wanted to help others. I loved the times when we drove around Detroit or went to Belle Isle. May you Rest in Peace.

I just heard yesterday of Clifford's passing and am very sorry for your loss. We had a lot of good times growing up as kids and I remember one Christmas my Dad had given your guys "transistor" radios which was such a big deal back then. I wish we would have kept in better touch throughout the years, but families get so spread out nowadays. Always take time to remember the good memories!
