

Clyde Edward McCormick, age 78 a longtime resident of Warren, died Monday, December 05, 2011 at his home. Clyde was born November 11, 1933 in Gainesboro, Tennessee the son of the late Mitchell McCormick and the late Cleo (nee: Whitaker) McCormick. Clyde and his family moved to the Detroit Michigan area when he was a young man. He spent his younger years in Detroit and later was inducted into the United States Army where he would spend the next two years before being discharged. Following his service to his country Clyde returned to work for M&P Pumps in the shipping and receiving department. Clyde would work for M&P for many years before working for Conveyor-Matic and Star Steel in Detroit.When Clyde was not working he was truly a 'homebody'. He cherished the time spent at home with his wife and family. He enjoyed bowling with his wife when he was younger and healthy. He also enjoyed watching game shows and succumbed to watching figure skating with his wife, just to make her happy.Clyde was the beloved husband of Marilou (nee: Crackel), and the dear father of Debra (William) Miller, Sandra (Jack) Allison, and Wayne (Margaret) McCormick. He was also the cherished grandfather of Jason, William, Theresa, Tammi, Mitchell, and the great-grandfather of Olivia. Further surviving Clyde is his sister Lois (Anthony) Marinello.Visitation for Mr. McCormick will be Wednesday from 3-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ' Mile). Mr. McCormick will lie in state Thursday 10am at Celtic Cross Presbyterian Church, 11451 East Ten Mile Road in Warren, until the time of the Funeral Service at 11am.
