We in the Cable TV Department were neighbors with Dale, as the custodial staff office is next door to us. When I think of Dale I remember his willingness to step up and take on tasks with innovation. His way of solving problems and getting the job done was much appreciated over the years. I could count on Dale and I still had a project or two on which I could have used Dale's creativity. He will be missed. Dale made his presence known, whether it was driving into work with his red sports car, having his son proudly by his side on Take Your Kid to Work Day and introducing "Clint" to everyone so proudly (and I could tell Clint was so very proud of his Dad), a willingness to fill in for the person who normally does the "end of the day" announcement on our Civic Center's P.A. system -- Dale was a presence, a kind person, a capable person. To his family, our condolences.

I first met Dale in March 2005 when we moved from the other court building in Mt. Clemens. He was so kind and willing to help us with ANYTHING we needed. He helped with our plants and was our expert on a fruit fly infestation. His sense of humor kept us smiling. My sincere condolences to the family and please know you're in my thoughts and prayers.

Dale was one of the most unique, laid-back people I've ever known, and his presence in the DPW (coupled with his all-encompassing expertise, which formed the basis of the C.E.R.T. Team) made it a true pleasure to work alongside him. The Three Amigos have now been reduced in number to only two, but -- speaking for Mike and myself -- in our hearts the number will always remain Three. Sharon and Clint, please accept my sincere condolences on your loss (which we at Clinton Township feel almost as keenly as you do.)

Dale was more than a co-worker, he was a friend to all who worked at Clinton Township. If I were to describe him, I would say he was a person who made your soul smile, with a laid back attitude and that good natured sense of humor we all enjoyed so much. He will be deeply missed... ED

Dale will truly be missed here at the Township. He would always brighten our days and make us laugh. He will always be remembered.

To the Family of Dale, My thoughts and prayers go out to you and I pray that all the beautiful memories you have will help you through the tough times. We were saddened by the news here at Clinton Township and we will always cherish the many memories we shared with Dale. He was always there for us whenever we needed him and he always made us laugh. Every time I watch "Price is Right" I will think of Dale. May he rest in peace. jk

To Dale's family: I will miss Dale every single day. His practical jokes always kept me laughing; such as putting things he knew I needed too high up for me to reach, or putting a bucket over my office door. He also would make me laugh every day with his goofiness. He was however a very good worker and I relied on Dale for many important things. Dale, or Fred Flintstone as my daughters always called him, will be missed for so many reasons I can't begin to list them. I wish to express my deepest sympathy to Dale's family. Dale is already being missed by his friends at work. His position enabled him to get to know people from every department. He was well known for his green thumb and he nursed many of our plants back to health. He also would volunteer in the worst of weather to run out and bring back lunch. Whenever I have Chinese food from a styrofoam container I'll think of Dale. His desk would always be full of the candy that he bought on clearance after each holiday and he loved to share it. And, who could ever forget the guy who almost set his own pants on fire when the two batteries that he was carrying in his pocket created a spark! Dale was one of a kind. I love him and I already miss him.
