David Taylor Simpson, age 81, died Friday, February 27, 2015 in Warren. Mr. Simpson was born September 28, 1933 in Detroit, son of the late Robert George and the late Mary E. (nee: Taylor) Simpson.Mr. Simpson was an inspector for Detroit Edison. He worked for the utility giant for 42 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. on October 15, 2011. He was the beloved father of Michael (Jeanine) Simpson and Steven (Kristine) Simpson; the loving grandfather of Samantha, Andrew and Christopher Simpson, and Ryan Curtis. He is also survived by his loving canine companion, Sophie. A Memorial Visitation for David will be held Monday, March 2nd from 4-9 pm, with a 7pm Memorial Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd) in Warren.Memorial donations may be made to the Michigan Humane Society, 30300 Telegraph Road, Suite 220, Bingham Farms, MI 48025.
