Deborah “Debbie” Elaine Marsh, age 71, died on Saturday, October 4, 2025, in Center Line, Michigan. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 04, 1953. She was the beloved sister of the late Dennie. Loving mother of Niagara. She leaves behind her chosen family members, Paula (Rodney) Dombrowski and Debbie (the late Pat Karas) Radtke. Her goddaughters Erica (Anthony) Hinderlighter and Andrea (William) Ellul, and their children Dylan Stepowski, Amelia Ellul, Kerrigan Ellul, and Remington Ellul. She was the daughter of the late Mary Marsh Omela and Maurice Marsh.
Debbie's life was forever changed by the loss of her identical twin sister, Dennie, her beloved other half. Their bond was a rare and beautiful connection that shaped much of Debbie’s world. Though Dennie's passing left an unfillable space in her heart, Debbie carried her memory with grace and quiet resilience throughout her life.
A devoted animal lover, Debbie especially cherished the companionship of her cat, Niagara. Her compassion extended far beyond her home — she gave generously to numerous causes, including the Capuchin Monastery, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Anti-Cruelty Society of Michigan, and the Humane Society.
Debbie was a proud graduate of St. Florian High School and Wayne State University. She remained active in her community and social circles through her involvement with organizations such as the Daughters of Isabella, the Half Century Club, and the Moose Lodge.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures — tending to her garden, feeding wildlife, and sharing laughter around the card table with friends and family. Debbie’s warmth, generosity, and gentle spirit touched all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the lives she impacted, the causes she supported, and the quiet beauty she brought into the world every day.
Visitation for Debbie will be held on Friday, October 10th from 3-8pm with a Time of Sharing at 7pm. She will lie In State on Saturday, October 11th from 10:30am until the time of her Funeral Mass at 11am at St. Bonaventure Capuchin Monastery, 1740 Mt Elliott St, Detroit, MI 48207.
