

Delores Marie (Eisenman) Grobbel, 85, of Warren, Michigan, died peacefully on Saturday, May 25, 2013 while surrounded by her loving family. Delores was born in Center Line, Michigan on April 16, 1928, to John and Mabel (Doran) Eisenman. The fourth of six children, she attended St. Clement Elementary and High School in Center Line, and after graduation Delores was employed by Michigan Bell Telephone Co. as a switchboard operator. In 1954 she married the love of her life, Ferdinand Grobbel. Delores and Ferdinand raised their family of six children in Warren, Michigan. Together they lived in their home on Rosselo Drive for 54 years until Ferdinand passed away in July of 2008. Delores remained in the home, maintaining her independence and continuing on with the many traditions that she and Ferdinand had established, including their love of gardening; hosting their children and grandchildren for holidays, family celebrations, Sunday dinners, and card game nights; and providing comfort and assistance to her family during times of trial. Delores will be remembered by all those who knew her as a woman of beautiful simplicity, deep humility, and faithful prayerfulness; as a Mother of unrelenting devotion and loyalty to her children; and as a Grandmother with unbounded love and pride for every one of her thirteen grandchildren and one great grandson. Delores is survived by her children Dianne (John) Bartolomeo, Joanne (Wayne) Burton, Gregory Grobbel, David (Mary) Grobbel, Mary Skotzke, and Brian (Ann) Grobbel; grandchildren John (Megan) Hopper and Brandon Hopper; Tyler and Spencer Burton; Elizabeth, Patrick, and Nathan Grobbel; Danielle and Sarah Skotzke; Olivia, Emily, Hannah, and Jacob Grobbel; and great grandson Nolan Skotzke-Doyle; siblings Lucille (Eisenman) Yasenchak, Br. Daniel Eisenman, CPPS; Dr. Charles (Patricia) Eisenman; sister-in-law Sylvia Kaltz, brother-in-law Mervin (Rose) Grobbel, sister-in-law Jeanne Grobbel, and sister-in-law Ilene Grobbel; predeceased by parents John and Mabel Eisenman; siblings John (Ruth) Eisenman, Joseph (Alice) Eisenman, and Joan Eisenman; in-laws Ferdinand and Eleanor (Sass) Grobbel, Ruth Eisenman, Alice Eisenman, John Yasenchak; Norbert Kaltz, Chester and Laverne (Grobbel) Beres, and Marta Grobbel. Visitation for Delores will be held Wednesday, May 29th, from 3-9 pm at the D. S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover at Common (N. of 12 Mile), Warren. A scriptural Rosary will be prayed Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm. The funeral will be held on Thursday, May 30th at St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church in Warren. In state visitation at 9:00 am. Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 am officiated by Rev. Roman Pasieczny.
