Dearest friends: We send our deepest condolences, and would like to share with you a poem (that helped us and still helps us thru our grieving. We hope it brings you as much comfort as it has us. When someone dies, a cloud turns into an angel, and flies up to tell God to put another flower on a pillow. A bird gives the message back to the world, and sings a silent prayer that makes the rain cry. People disappear, but they never really go away. The spirits up there put the sun to bed, wake up grasses, and spin the earth in dizzy circles. Sometimes you can see them dancing in a cloud during the day-time, when they're suppose to be sleeping. They paint the rainbows and also the sunsets and make waves splash and tug at the tide. They toss shooting stars and listen to wishes, they whisper to us, don't miss me too much. The view is nice and I'm doing just fine. - Ashley If there is anything we can do for you - please don't hestitate to let us call. You know where we live.

I met Dennis (Chris) through the D-Co, 409th, 103d Division of WWII Reunions. He loved the WWII era and was a valued addition to our group. He will be missed! Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Zack Sigler D-Co, 409th, 103d ID Historian

My thoughts and prayers are with you and the kids.

This is my Son Dennis. Though he was known by many as Chris. I will miss my boy every day and constantly think about him and the good times we had fishing, hunting or just hanging around. We spent a nice Memorial Day together, one that I will never forget. This space is way to short to tell everyone what a great son and companion you were. You have made foot tracks in my heart that will never go away.

Monday was a sad day to hear this. God be with him and his family. We enjoyed many nights talking about guns and gaming at work.

Charley was my squad leader. I told that to Dennis when he was at the D-Company reunion.

We were very sorry to learn from Zack that Dennis has passed on. We missed him at the 2008 reunion and hoped to see him this year. Adrianne grew up in Clarkston ,MI and so felt closer to Dennis since in her day the students from Waterford came to Clarkston in High School. Our sympathy and prayers go out to all of Dennis' family.
