Diane Marie Campbell

Diane Marie Campbell, age 76 of Fraser, passed away on July 7, 2021 at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital’s Warren Campus. She was born April 15, 1945 in Detroit, daughter of the late Charles and the late Stella (nee: Zawalski) Chmielewski.

Along with her aspirations of becoming a Mom and homemaker, many of Diane’s earlier thoughts and desires were wrapped in the world of healthcare and her dream of becoming a nurse. Though life’s circumstances would hinder that resolve, Diane ultimately found a niche within the healthcare realm working as a clerk. And as most people know,…the job of a healthcare clerk is quite demanding, and Diane extended the utmost in service excellence in everything she did. It was always an honor for her to serve the community through the venue of healthcare.

For all who knew Diane, they’ll easily recall her extreme penchant for baking. She absolutely loved to bake, and there were very few days that her oven wasn’t producing something sweet & tasty to eat. Her husband Ray was never at a loss for breakfast fare as he was greeted each day with one of her delicious muffins or cupcakes. Known affectionately as the “Cupcake Queen,” there was just something extra special about Diane’s culinary confections that satisfied one’s sweet tooth. Also, Christmas just wouldn’t be Christmas without some of Diane’s mouthwatering Christmas cookies,…little treats that lasted right through to Springtime.

Diane was also quite a fan of the game of BINGO and loved partaking in the ever-popular pastime that often draws massive crowds into a local hall. From the excitement of the game to the many friendships Diane enjoyed in sharing the experience with others, she and her fellow Bingo Buddies managed to create countless hours of fun, entertainment, and a host of great memories together.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, family meant the world to Diane and every moment in their company was met with joy and pleasure in abundance. The little ones in her life infused her with a youthfulness that permeated her heart and truly kept her young,…and provided Diane with even more mouths to experience her baking prowess and delights. She leaves behind each of these loved ones to cherish her memory, reflections that are sure to leave a smile. Diane will be missed beyond expression and loved beyond measure

Diane was the beloved wife of Raymond Lewis Campbell. Dear mother of Michele Bozzer, Karyn (the late James) Watson, Sandra Campbell, and Jeffrey Koppitch. Loving grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of four. Sister of the late Richard Chmielewski.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home in Warren, Michigan.
