Born in Detroit, Michigan, Diane was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose strength, love, and selflessness were the foundation of her family. She will be remembered for her boundless energy, adventurous spirit, and unwavering faith.
Diane cherished spending time “up north” at Higgins Lake and Oscoda, where she created countless joyful memories camping and canoeing with her children. Athletic and playful, she was always ready to jump into a game of softball or join whatever the kids were playing. She was the heart of every gathering and the glue that held the family together.
A breast cancer survivor, Diane touched many with her resilience. Her devotion to her children and grandchildren was unmatched she would give everything to ensure they were happy. Her home was filled with music, especially the sounds of her favorite artist, Prince, with “Purple Rain” being a cherished favorite.
Faith was central to Diane’s life. A longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church in Warren, a church her family helped found, she made sure her children were raised with strong spiritual values.
Beloved mom of Bobby (Kelsey) Kolton, David Kolton, the late Gina and Joey (Karina). Loving grandma of Izabella, Kaylie, Vincenzo, Lucas, Anna, Levi, and Sophia. Dear sister of Greg (Brenda), Mike (Barb), Todd (the late Eve), and the late Jeff. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on Friday, June 27th from 2 PM to 9 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, Warren. Diane will lie in state at 9:30 AM on Saturday, June 28th followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30 AM at Christ Lutheran Church, 32300 Schoenherr Rd, Warren, MI 48088. She will be laid to rest privately at Acacia Park Cemetery in Beverly Hills.
