She married the love of her life, Robert, on October 1, 1960, and together they built a loving family and a life centered around faith and devotion to one another.
Diane was raised in Detroit and Hamtramck, where she attended St. Florian High School. Diane worked as a secretary for Chrysler before dedicating herself to raising her family. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life and loved spending her time cooking, baking, gardening, and creating ceramics. Strong in her Catholic faith, Diane lived with kindness, compassion, and quiet strength.
Diane deeply loved her family and treasured the time spent with them. She also had a special place in her heart for the feral cats that found their way to her backyard. She faithfully cared for them each day by providing shelter, food, and water, and in return they brought her comfort, companionship, and happiness.
Diane will be remembered for her warm heart, caring nature, unwavering faith, and the love that she shared so freely with her family and friends.
Diane was the beloved wife of the late Robert. Loving mother of Gregory, Michelle (David) Lachajewski, and the late Kevin. Cherished grandmother of Deanna, Nathan, Nicholas, and Matthew. Dear sister of the late Dolores Shockley.
