Dick Wah Moy

Dick W. Moy had an undeniable spirit and a little love for gambling. But one couldn't have bet that he'd roll the dice on outta here on 7/11. At the young age of 98, this longtime Ferndale resident died on July 7, 2012 at Sunrise Senior Living Center in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Dick was born October 29, 1913 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late George and Hoysee Moy.Mr. Moy worked and retired as an engineer and architect for the Detroit Public Schools after many years of faithful service.Mr. Moy was the beloved husband of the late Charlotte (nee: Jung). He is the dear father of Adelia Soo, Dick Jr. (Sim) Moy, and Gregory (the late Nancy) Moy. Loving grandfather of Brian Soo, Jadeen Soo, Tiffany Moy (Steve Miller), and Jeremy (Tracie) Moy. Cherished great-grandfather of Tarian, Prenity, and Naomi. Dick is also survived by many dear family members and friends. Visitation for Mr. Moy will be Tuesday 3-9pm, at the Wessels and Wilk Funeral Home, 23690 Woodward Ave. in Pleasant Ridge, MI. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday 11 am, at the funeral home. Dick wasn't a flowery kind of guy, but he had a lot of heart.
