Donald K. Hungerford, 76, of Warren died Friday, May 9, 2008 at St. John Oakland Macomb-Macomb Center. Donald was born August 8, 1931 in Detroit. Donald grew up in Detroit. He joined the Army and served proudly during the Korean War. September 24, 1955 he married his wife, Valarae. He retired from Chrysler December 31, 1991 after 34 years of service. In the late 1960s and 1970's he was a coach and referee for the Warren Youth Soccer League. Donald loved crosswords, movies and animals, especially his cats. He was an avid sports fan, and loved a good joke. He was also a very good cook. Donald is survived by his loving wife, Valarae; children, Mark (Lucille), Susan and Donna; and grandchildren, Jennifer and Kevin. Visitation for Donald will be Monday from 2-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover at Common (12 Mile). A funeral service will be Tuesday, 10:30 am at the funeral home. The service will be officiated by Pastor Jerry Weinzierl.
