Donald Bernard Ketelhut

Beloved husband of the late Beatrice Kranz Ketelhut. Loving father of the late Denise (Gene) Allossery, Eric Ketelhut, Keith (Marlana) Ketelhut, Curtis (Janice) Ketelhut, and Donnie (Jane Morrison) Ketelhut.

Cherished grandfather of 9 grandchildren, great grandfather of 3. Also survived by sister Diane Wilson, and brother Emil (Theresa) Ketelhut as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased in death by his wife Beatrice and daughter Denise and 5 siblings.

Donald was born in Detroit, the eldest son of 7 children. He graduated from Northeastern High School. He was a devoted member of the Catholic faith and a member of the St. Joan of Arc Parish in St. Clair Shores for over 60 years. In his younger days, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on his house. He was a WWII Veteran, having proudly served the United States as a member of the Army Air Corp.

Before retiring, he was a member of the Teamsters. He was employed as a truck driver for most of his working years. He most enjoyed spending time with his family, playing cards, playing Bingo and trivia games such as Jeopardy, occasional casino trips, family parties and gatherings and working in his garden. He had a good sense of humor and was loving and kind. He will be lovingly remembered and missed.

Visitation for Donald will be held on Friday, September 13th from 10am until the time of his Funeral Service at 12pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, MI. Burial with Military Honors to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
