Donna Susan Gonzalez

Born on August 11, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan, Donna was the beloved daughter of the late Florian and Helen Hallman. Donna leaves behind her loving daughters, Michelle Herbert and Nancy (Richie) Newland, and is reunited in heaven with her beloved child, Angelo “Booper” Gonzalez, Jr.

She was the cherished grandmother of Emily, Zachary, and Nathan Herbert, who brought immeasurable happiness and pride to her life. Whether attending special events, sharing stories, or simply enjoying time together, Donna treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren.

Donna was a dear sister to Ronald (the late Angie) Hallman, Geraldine (the late Frank) De Santis, Janice (the late Joseph) Winowski, and Diane (George) Downey. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Hallman. Her sisters were more than family, they were her closest friends, confidantes, and constant companions throughout life's many chapters. The bond they shared was one of love, laughter, and unwavering support.

Donna found enjoyment in life's simple pleasures. She could often be found engrossed in a captivating novel or faithfully following her favorite soap operas, always eager to discuss the latest twists and turns. Known for her caring and nurturing nature, Donna possessed a remarkable heart for helping others. She was the person family and friends could depend on, always ready to offer comfort, guidance, or a helping hand whenever it was needed.

She also had a wonderful sense of humor and a few well-known rules. Perhaps none was more memorable than her insistence that no one contact her until she had enjoyed her second cup of coffee. Those who knew and loved Donna understood that her mornings began only after that second cup, a cherished ritual that never failed to bring a smile to those around her.

Donna will be remembered for her kindness, strength, compassion, and devotion to her family. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the love she shared, and the countless memories that will forever be treasured by those fortunate enough to have known her.
