Dorothy Dikowski

Dorothy Dikowski age 79, of Sterling Heights died Sunday, February 7, 2010 at her home. She was born June 26, 1930 in Hamtramck the daughter of the late Paul and the late Stella (nee: Rutkowski) Witkowski. Dorothy devoted her life and time to her family. From taking family vacations to their home in Oscoda to having a family dinner every Sunday together, she enjoyed all the time she could spend with them. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 58 years, John; children, Claudia (Dennis) Frederick, Dennis Dikowski, and Paula (Mark) Crager; grandchildren, Shawn, Shannon (Jonathan), Marcia, Christine, Joseph, Sabrina, Darcie, and Kelsey; great grandchildren, Anthony, Brianna, and Jeremy with one on the way, Kallie; sister, Clara Unieski; sisters in law, Theresa Witkowski, Victoria Witkowski, Natalie (Arthur) Zuzga and Geraldine Dikowski; and brother in law, Robert (Geraldine) Dikowski. She is predeceased by her siblings, Anthony Witkowski, Eleanor Konaszewski, Leonard Witkowski, and Gertrude Ratowski. Visitation for Mrs. Dikowski will be held Wednesday 5-9 p.m. and Thursday 2-9 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. Scripture Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road). She will lie in state Friday 9:30 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila - St. Dorothy Campus until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Officiating the Funeral Liturgy will be Rev. Fr. Thomas Puzio. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Please share memories at Dorothy's guest book.
