Dorothy Barbara Kuranty (81 years) passed away peacefully holding her niece Sara MacPhee’s hand on March 11, 2022. She was the beloved daughter of Alexander and Mary (Glowacz) Kuranty born in Hamtramck, Michigan on August 25th 1940.
Dorothy had an amazing heart and was known by her compassion and grace. She was a devote Catholic dedicated to her faith, family, friends and career.
She had an extremely successful career at Comerica Bank in Marketing and Development. The relationships she cultivated were tremendously important to her and she found it very difficult to retire. However, after over 60 years with the company she finally took off the business suit and spent more time with her family and friends.
We were all so proud of the countless awards and achievements she was presented with over her long career with Comerica. Dorothy was such a humble person that she found it difficult to accept the prestige for being such an exceedingly dedicated employee.
Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible scripture; Ephesians 4:32
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as Christ God forgave you.”
Dorothy was the beloved daughter the late Mary and the late Alexander Kuranty. Loving aunt and mother figure of Sara MacPhee and great-aunt to Cleveland MacPhee. She is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Dear cousin of Sandra MacPhee, Patrick (Michelle) Wolfrum, Richard Glowacz, Georgianne Glowacz, Gary (Barbara) Glowacz, and Maryann Belluni.
Dorothy will lie in state on Saturday, March 19th from 9:30am until the time of her Funeral Mass at 10:00am at St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families, St. Clement Site Church, 25320 Van Dyke, Center Line 48015.
Arrangements entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home in Warren.
