Edward Jacob Somoski

Edward Somoski, 79, of Warren, died Sunday, February 19, 2006 at Mt. Clemens General Hospital. He was born August 17, 1926 in Hamtramck. In 1952 Edward married his wife Doris. Edward was a member of the American Legion. He retired from the Chrysler/Dodge truck plant in 1988. Edward's favorite pasttime was spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed making things from wood. He was a great handyman and had infinite patience for finishing projects to perfection. Edward is survived by his wife of 53 years, Doris; children, Cindy (Ed) Bishop, Stephen (Cindy), Donna (Ron Klicki) Decker and Brian (Debbie); and grandchildren, Nicole, Matthew, Kelsey, Andrea Bishop, Nicholas, Lindsey and Dylan. Visitation for Edward will take place Monday from 5-9 and Tuesday from 1-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover at Common (12 1/2 Mile). There will be an evening scripture service Tuesday. Edward will be in state Wednesday 10:00 am until the time of Mass 10:30 am at St. Sylvester Catholic Church, 11200 Twelve Mile, Warren. The Mass will be officiated by Fr. Gary Schulte. Interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Detroit.
